Flip Flop Summer

Monday night we had a Bench Family Party in the Basin at Heidi's Parents house. They have a beautiful set up there. We BBQ'd hamburgers, hotdogs and Steak and Pork Loin over the open fire.

This kids played on the rocks.

The older cousins just hung out and bugged everyone else.

A little skeet shooting.

A little Swimming.

A little Holy Board.

And a little R&R in the hammock. Then it all ended with Whitney tripping and and hitting her head on the rocks. She now looks like Rocky.

It's a Keeper!

Walker & I rode the 4-wheeler up to the Dam last Saturday Morning to go fishing. Walker finally caught his fist keeper, and he was as proud as could be. He just kept saying "I'm so happy I caught a fish".

We took it home and put it in the freezer and he has to show his catch to everyone who comes over. He wanted to hang it up in his room, but the freezer will have to do for now.

Father's Day

I had a great father's day! It started at 6:30 a.m. with Bishopric meeting. Wendy was kind enough to make orange rolls for all of us, and also sent me with a quart of milk. Her and the kids also gave me a new fishing pole, and a couple pair of shorts.

However, the day didn't go so well for Wendy. Not only did she have to fight Walker (who does not like church), but the lambs got out, and her and girls had to chase them across the neighbors lawn in their dresses. I think she was ready to turn those lambs into.....

With the help of the neighbor boys they were able
to catch the m and make it to church on time. Believe it or not, but they got out again that night, and thanks to Addison we able to catch them again. Anybody up for a BBQ?

Girls Camp

I attended my first Girls camp this week (no comments please, I can already see them coming). I take that back......I did attend one, when I was 8. That was when Craig and Kerry were tending me, and my finger was slammed in the door. After the Dr. Casted it, Dad took me up to camp to see Mom (still, please no comments).

I went to St. George last Wednesday for work, and then met the girls and leaders in Manti for the pageant. It was fun to see, since I haven't been there since I was probably Kelby's age. It was also fun to be there with Kylee, Kelby, and Nicki.

That night I stayed in Richfield, because I had an appointment there the next day. The rest of the crew went to Meadow and stayed with one of the leader's family. I met up with them for lunch at Cove fort where we spent the afternoon. It was fun to see where Uncle Delroy and Aunt Sidney spent their mission.

That evening we had a nice dutch oven meal, and then a program centered around the parable of the ten virgins. Nicki and the rest of the leaders did a great job. It was a very spiritual experience and I wish all of you were there to be with us. A memory I will cherish for a long time.

Saturday Brunch

Just getting some use out of our deck. Wendy made french toast with strawberry's or peaches and we enjoyed eating them in the nice spring weather.

4-H lambs

This weekend our whole family was crammed into a pickup pulling a trailer full of lambs into Burley to have them weighed. I told Wendy on our way down, that never in my wildest nightmares, did I think I would be taking lambs to the fair with my kids.

We built a temporary pen to the north of our house. That is Nicki's house in the background.

Kelby and Kori are feeding them.

More Baseball

I had to coach Whitney's team last week. This is Whitney at the plate. She's batting .500. They use a pitching machine for her team. You can tell that walker is really getting into his position.

Only in Oakley

Kevin and I were on our way back from taking pictures. This is taken in Oakley. In the back ground you can see my brother Casey's shop. Which is on Water Street. There are two bucks and one doe. Only in Oakley.
Yes, we have had a rough week. On May 30th, we lost our little delphie. We have shed many tears and still continue to. It's amazing how attached you can become to an animal. It's going to be a tough go for a while.
